Oxford – The North Penn Knights 2008-2009 season ended Saturday at the South East Regional tournament. Both Dominic Colangelo (145) and Randy Haun (152) each wrestling tough against very talented competition but could not advance to the PIAA State Championship Tournament in Hershey.

North Penn finished 45th out of 68 teams. Council Rock South was the team champion with 132 points. The Outstanding Wrestler was Jim Resnick of Penncrest (171 pounds).

145 - Dominic Colangelo (0-2, Did Not Place)
Championship Round 1 - lost by dec. to Matt Dugan (Northeast Catholic), 3-2
First Round Consolations - lost by dec. to Nick Papa (Penncrest), 7-5

152 - Randy Haun (1-2, Did Not Place)
Championship Round 1 - lost by dec. to Jim Vollrath (Council Rock South), 10-3
First Round Consolations - won by fall over Eric Smith (Conwell Egan), 4:50
Second Round Consolations - lost by maj. dec. to Josh Marquard (Sun Valley), 10-1
