Knights Edge Redskins, 32-31

LANGHORNE – The North Penn Knights won a close one over the Neshaminy Redskins, 32-31, in their non-league dual meet Saturday. North Penn (2-3, 4-4) started with Tyler Romano (125) getting the pin, Greg Lacoff (130) earning a 5-2 decision, and Drew Daubert (135) earning a major decision. Neshaminy kept it close by winning the next two bouts. Then Randy Haun (152) scored a major decision, Dominic Colangelo (160) got a pin and Will Bachert (171) won to put North Penn ahead 26-8. After two Neshaminy wins, North Penn Freshman Ben Kaplan (285) got his first varsity win with a dramatic third period pin. In the final match Neshaminy needed a pin or tech. fall for the win and Evan Conti (119) fought off Neshaminy's Colby Lederer and preserved North Penn's victory by only giving up the decision.
